Get Away To Austria

If you are in the lucky position of being in the process of attempting to plan a get away from the bog-standard normality of your day-to-day reality, then a country that I would certainly suggest you consider visiting is the European nation of Austria. My best friend Bob works for a chain of hotels that have establishments throughout the country and so I am more than able to offer you advice about how best to invest your time while you are there as I visit frequently due to the fact that Bob can get me superb discounts on accommodation in every corner of this mountainous and exceptionally beautiful country.

If you are able to afford the astronomical sums frequently charged by luxury hotels Vienna is a great place to visit because there are myriad four and five star establishments throughout the town centre. There are also lots of bed and breakfasts along with other cheap and cheerful hotels scattered through the city so no matter what your budget – whether you’re traveling on a shoe-string or you’ve got cash to splash – you’ll be able to find somewhere in Vienna that suits the amount of money you are able to spend on accommodation. While in the city I would suggest that you take the time to visit the Beethoven museum that is situated in the house in which he used to live. The piano on which he composed ‘Moonlight Sonata’ is there, as are the original manuscripts of some of his other masterpieces. There are also frequent recitals of his piano concertos in the concert hall opposite so drop by their booth beneath the arched entrance and see if they have any performances while you’re there.

Another reason that I so frequently go to Austria for my holidays is because I am a huge skiing fanatic and the country is just about the central global hub when it comes to winter sports due to the pistes provided by the Alps. Bob’s company has a hotel in Innsbruck and, again, if you are a fan of the odd luxury hotel Innsbruck is the place to head. This picturesque town is located right at the foott of the Alps and so you have easy access to the slopes if you stay here. The skiing conditions are also magnificent.
