See WICKED, The Musical

This amazing story and winner of over 35 major awards including the Grammy and three Tony’s Wicked is the story that precedes the story of The Wizard of Oz. This tongue in cheek storyline chronicles the highly unlikely friendship between the two opposing character witches in the Wizard of Oz; The Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good. The story takes place long before Dorothy is even mentioned. Reviewers have called the production one of the best prequels ever delivered to such an iconic story. The pressure was on to craft a compelling tale, and these producers have done just that.
The story follows two young girls and their unlikely friendship despite being polar opposites by the time Dorothy blows into town. One is born green with the unenviable curse of being perpetually misunderstood, and the other is born popular, beautiful and good natured. The show has been named Best of the Decade by Entertainment Weekly and promoted as a “Cultural Phenomenon” by variety. The performances will stay with you long after you’ve left the theater. Currently the American version is on Tour all over the untied states, but there is a permanent and long running show in the West End of London as well.

There are so many great shows right now in the West End in fact, that if you are a fan of musicals, a simple weekend jaunt through London will leave you wanting more, so the best thing to do is plan a longer stay. IF for no other reason than just the musicals alone, an extended stay is the only way to see London. For those who take advantage of short term rentals London becomes a playground for the senses and if you can rent holiday apartment London will open up, showing you sights and sounds that will stay in your memory forever.
